West End Impact came to life round about the same time as our church Summer 2002. Through the generous provision by Mr & Mrs Gardner and the driving force from Tim Bhajjan West End Impact opened its doors in October 2002. |
| The Vision of West End Impact is to provide a facility for Christian community work in the West End of Morecambe and its surrounding areas. We have 4 main projects running from our facility, inlcuding a drop in for those with many needs from homelessness, to addiction or even just loneliness. We also have a youth club, and parent cafe and an art group. West End Impact has no regular income, but as a registered charity we are very happy to receive donations to help with the maintenance of the facilities and expansion of this work. We have been awarded various grants in the last few years to help with things like flooring, new kitchen, play equipment for the parent cafe and youthclub. |

In 2004 Morecambe Community Church took on official leadership of West End Impact, as most of the trustees attend MCC, taking care of resourcing, financing and overseeing the work at WEI. We now have 2 paid staff our youth worker and manager and 14 volunteers, including our trustees. |
| West End Impact was opened in response to the regeneration of Morecambe and we believe that that regeneration can only happen with a change in peoples lives. We therefore aim to help and motivate people in need into a better future by giving them information on other agencies that can help them with things like, rehabilitation, housing, benefits, counselling etc. We try to help people with a plan of action and we try and build up good reltionship with other agencies that we know can help. We have built up many relationships of trust with our clients over the years who find it easier to pop in to us and have a chat over a warm meal, or a cup of tea, before heading out on their plan of action. |

We have strengthened our links with local councillor Tina Clifford and Ron Sands and more recently the local Princes Trust project. Team 21 of the Princes Trust were involved in the renovations of West End Impact in October 2008.
Since last year the work at West End Impact has been expanding rapidly with exciting developments which will further boost our work in and with the community. Our new cellar rooms are a great addition to the space at West End Impact - giving us opportunity to have several things go on at the same time. The atmosphere down there is just great.

We look forward to seeing you there - the kettle is on...
