What a privilege it is to be part of God’s team. What an adventure it is being used by Him to do extraordinary things. How exciting to be filled with the Holy Spirit, not only for my own good, but for the benefit of fellow-followers of Jesus and those who don’t. Leading a life of servant hood with purpose makes me smile everyday and gives glory to God. What could be better! What could be better?
Doing all that in the company of great people who “are like-minded, have the same love, are one in spirit and purpose. Who do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than themselves.” (cf. Phil 2.2-3 ) Thank you, fellow followers at MCC, for enriching my family, my ministry and my life so much.

Digestible Dogmatics - Question Session
Posted by michl under Sunday Messages , cutting edge thoughts , news[2] Comments
This Sunday (18th) there will be opportunity to ask some good, tough, interesting questions about the Christian Faith. If you are interested please post your questions on this blog, or send them to info@mcc.uk.com. There will also be chance to voice questions on the day…. but I suspect the answers might be more digestible if I have them before Saturday. xo Michl

I just want to say that this morning was fantastic - Michl preached on the Trinity and God met us right there and revealed what a powerful, awesome, and loving God HE is. There was such a powerful sense of the presence of God that even though we were tackling one of the biggest mysteries of our faith, it all seemed perfectly clear. It is good to be reminded that we have a loving and accepting God but also that He is all-powerful and should be approached with the respect and fear that He deserves - we have a living relationship with Jesus, whom we love, but not to forget that He was there at the beginning of the world along with God the Father and the Holy Spirit - the three in one hold the power of creation and we would do well to remeber that. Thank you Michl, Thank you Jesus, for revealing more of your truth to us.
Can I also say that everytime I looked up during worship I was met with the sight of the kids and their leaders having an absolute blast in BOB - kids church - and it made my heart so glad - as we were singing Hope is here - they were dancing and celebrating and I just thought, yes, we do have every reason to celebrate, to dance and sing because hope IS here - Jesus saves.

MCC will be into its 7th year this year and I hope that will be significant. It’s not superstious or anything but we could do with a year of Jubliee and celebration of many coming to know the risen Lord Jesus as their own personal Lord and leader. If that’s not what it’s all about then what is it about?? We long to see people coming to know the saving grace, and mercy of Jesus and the amazing difference He can make in our lives. We want to see some more baptisms this year and some more people finding their gifting and calling and serving the Lord in the purpose He has specifically for them. We want to see people come to a new realisation of what it is to make a difference in this world, as if the church can’t make a difference in this world with God’s help who can? I want to see more people praying for and loving their neighbours so that they can introduce them to the love of Christ. I long to see more people full of the JOY of the Lord and overflowing with the excitment and courage that the Holy Spirit longs to give. Jesus came into this world to save the world and He also came at a time when he needed to overthrow the relgious cerimonies and practices of the Jews, and it wouldn’t surprise me if that is not what Jesus is doing again now. WE can’t just sit in our churches following religious practices and being a civilised, middle class established organisation, we need to be an movement of mighty battle fighters who are itching in our seats on sundays, pleading for God to do something out of the ordinary and send us on an amazing adventure. That journey could be a scary one but we will never be bored never be short of something to do, never be wondering what’s happening, because we will be so in tune with God that we will know what’s on HIS heart and we will be following it with vigour and determination. 2009 is the Year of Jubilee will you come and join in at MCC??
