I just want to say a big thanks to all who turned up last night!! It was a great time. I will never forget the look on Joanne’s face as she chase across ASDA car park after her run away trolley. Yes we were spying on people. For those of you reading this post who weren’t there last night, we did a car treasure hunt with a difference. It was absolutely hilarious and Superman was absolutely brilliant. I think everyone had a great time despite the rain at times. I think this is one we’ll remember for a long time to come.

Am just reading the book Emma mentioned in her message on Sunday - Sacred Pathways. It is really interesting and helpful to appreciate how different people worship with their different temperaments - I recommend having a look. It’s good to find out more about your own ‘worship temperament’ but it has also opened my eyes to what goes on with other people and not to judge or compare the way they worship with the way I do. All good stuff. Cheers Em.
I totally agree with Emma’s earlier post. Fantastic accoustic version of Fire and Rain by Michl this morning.
I’ve just uploaded it to YouTube. Audio quality isn’t as good as it could have been due to an earth loop problem because the main computer failed this morning!
Standard quality:

High quality (needs fast broadband):

For reference, Emma’s message on Jesus didn’t say “Let’s have a time of worship” is also online now: http://www.mcc.uk.com/recordings/jesusdidntsay/time_of_worship.wvx
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for your concern and support following the crash, it means a lot to me. I’ve been knocked for six by the whole thing but I am sorry to have missed this morning’s service, Emma’s messages are always great, so I will be catching up on-line. I’m glad friday night went so well, and that so many people went. Any way, thank you and I will see you all soon. God Blass. Zofia.x
Michl did a fantastic version of the James Taylor classic Fire and Rain today.
For my worship sermon.
What a blessing and fantastic talent.
Its great to see someone use there musical talent for God’s glory in such a humble way.
Thank you
Just to remind everyone that through the summer at West End Impact Friday evening is now FUN FRIDAY from 7.00pm till about 9 ish. Tonight we will be ordering pizza in, so if you can bring a couple of pounds to chip in that will be great. I have also challenged Neil to a Kareokee sing off so get in on the competition before he starts to hog the mike. See you all there.

There’s an awful lot going on at the moment that we can’t understand. A lot of our church family are being put through the ringer. I just urge everyone to get on their knees and pray for our church family and still to glorify God. We don’t know what’s going on around us but I trust in a God that knows what He’s doing. As Michl said on Sunday - God is alot bigger than our understanding is not subject to our human logic. I’m not endorsing a car sticker slogan “just trust in God and it’ll be alright” kind of thing. I’m saying get on your knees broken hearted and questioning and wrestle with it, cry out to Him, but also worship Him for who He is.
Does anyone remember the hit single ‘The Only way is UP’ by YAZZ in the late 80’s early 90’s - well I might be a bit slow on the uptake here but I just discovered she’s a Christian. You can see her recent album on her website www.yazzmusic.co.uk and there is an inview on Premier TV of her testimony - it’s great - I think there is a link from her website. Just thought I’d let everyone know that there is another great Christian artist out there making great Christian music. Maybe she could get together with Nanette and do some extraordinary music together.
