I was confused this morning I have to admit.
Was Michl talking about Woah - as in, what you say to an errant horse, or Woe as in Woe is me, I’ve just got the latest council tax bill?
So - which is it? Well I guess, both, and I guess Jesus could well have meant both in Luke 11:37-52.
Because in fact, A Woah is a spiritual warning from God that if we don’t pay attention, it could well be a Woe is me situation. And you know what? God actually wants us to sharpen our spiritual ears. Sounds painful doesn’t it - and to be honest, as with every time God refines us and shapes our character, it probably will be! But undoubtably not as painful as the consequences of us not heeding God’s warning.
So next time God gives you a spiritual check about something, a Woah if you like, just remember the Woe that happens if you don’t listen!
And for those very keen to listen, the message is now online here.
