It’s great to see that we are getting loads of visits to You Tube. ‘Feeling Good’ had the most number of visits the last time I looked. It would be good if people could make comments though, everyone go back and take another look if you didn’t write a comment please do. Any encouragement is always good. My next door neighbour took a look and really liked it. Don’t forget to scroll down and take a look at all the videos though - there are 15 in all but three of those aren’t the RISEN event. Anyway here’s the link again ….. Tracy (Don’t forget to tell all your friends, neighbours and work collegues to take a look too.)

We’ve been overwhelmed by the number of visitors and the warmth of everyone’s feelings about the birth of our baby Esther. We’ve seen so many other people on the ward with a few visitors who come and go quickly, and talk mostly about themselves. It’s heartwarming that we’ve seen the love of Jesus - faith in action if you like - when people come to visit.
So - thanks everyone! We love you all.
Baby Esther is more alert now, opening her eyes more and generally making her presence felt!

If anybody knew Mary or Dee as she was known to us all, they would have know that underneath that hard exterior there was a soft, gently, caring lady. She seemed to have a smile most time we saw her and there was a look of mischeivesness in her eye. Dee started taking Canabis at the age of nine and has had a long battle on and off drugs every since. We saw her many times when she seemed to be doing so much better and even went back to work for a period of time. She had children, but had little contact with them, although she cared about them very much. Her mother in Newcastle has the care of Jack who I think is about 4 years old. I remember Dee came to one of our Easter events at the platform, well she came to a few, but this particular one we had errected a bridge at the front right of stage. At the end of the event we invited people who wanted to make a comittment to believe on and follow Jesus to make a public declaration of it by walking across the bridge. It was such and emotional scene, watching people walk into a new life and Dee was the first one to walk. She often talked about that day and whilst in prison she recommitted her life and had many conversations with the prison Chaplain about faith. She even came to church a couple of times and always talked about coming back. Dee died a very sad death last Thursday, and I just wish we could have done more to help her, but I am sure she is now at peace with God and has a new life in heaven. She once painted a picture at one of our Art days, which brought me to tears. It was a simple picture, with the sunshine behind a cross and a rainbow running through with DEE written on the rainbow. I knew that day that God had done something special in Dee’s life and although she continued to make wrong choices, she was right in the palm of God’s hand. Please if anyone is out there stuggling with addiction be assured that there is hope and that God really does care about you. He wants to make an amazing difference in your life and he wants you to be a person who is fulfilled and at peace, who is joyful and finds purpose in this world and the next. Don’t struggle alone come and see us at West End Impact 12-14 Heysham Road Morecambe, we will try and do what we can to help with God’s help.
