A dream of a church where hurting, confused, searching, questioning, ordinary people can come as they are and be accepted and welcomed. Where they�re not afraid to have questions and where they can find the answers and a revelation from God.

A dream of a church that shares and presents the Good News of Jesus in a simple, relevant, up-to-date way that can be applied to peoples lives. A dream of a church that shares Jesus� love, forgiveness and acceptance with 100�s and even thousands of people in the Morecambe and Lancaster area and even further a field.

A dream of a church where believers are built up and encouraged in their faith through small groups, seminars, Bible study, prayer, training, worship and service and can reach their full potential in Christ.

A dream of a church where people can laugh together, cry together, pray together, forgive each other, have fun together, encourage each other, but don�t talk about each other behind their back.

A dream of a church where everyone is encouraged to find their purpose within the church and the reason why they are here on earth, by finding their God given gifts and talents and being free and encouraged to use them. Where people are allowed to make mistakes and learn from them and are allowed to change direction and try new things when necessary.

A dream of a church that makes a difference in the community. Of a facility where we can teach people every day life skills, for example marriage seminars, parenting and debt counselling. Where people can come for help and advice. Where people who are very disadvantaged can come for food or a bed or even rehabilitation. Where young mums can meet for a chat, where youth can hang out and keep out of trouble, where single people don�t need to be alone.

A dream of a church where God�s presence can be felt and people know that God is at work, as peoples lives are being transformed into fully devoted followers of God.

This is our dream and I am sure this is God�s dream,

Our Church service was amazing this morning.

It was just an amazing presence of God, I felt like there was nothing else on earth but us and worshipping God

Everything else just fell away

It was great that our youth worker shared her experience of bible college, the Children shared about what they had done there was a really warm atmosphere.

Its an honour to serve in the Church were God has placed you it makes an incredible difference

Just a quick note to tell everyone who shops in Morrisons Morecambe that as from Monday we will have a bin in the foyer. The bin is to put food in for our homeless project @ West End Impact, so if anyone wants to just through in a bag of sugar, some tea bags, a jar of coffee, a tin of fruit, tuna, cornedbeef, or packets of custard or the like, it will all be very greatly appreciated. It will be an amazing help to our project as food is one things that we never seem to get sponsorship or funding for. Up to now we have been relying on donation from individuals at church (Morecambe Community Church) and Lancaster Homeless Action have also been very, very helpful. So spare us a tin or packet of something and you wil be giving to a very worthy cause. God Bless You!!

It was a good start to the new school year this week. Michl spoke a very fruity sermon about strawberries and seedless grapes and how to sow our seed etc. I think we managed to record it, some on the camera and some on mobile phone. It was a great atmosphere this morning just people coming into the wonderful presence of God and worshiping Him for who he is. We had a great time and Zofia’s spiced apple cake went down a treat. We are going to get going on those leaflets we mentioned this week for the ‘Journeys’ course and we will produce a CD with video clips and music and stuff on it to post with each post card. So make sure you are with us to post them we have 2500 altogether. We are also still in need of a mini-bus to pick people up from Lancaster and the West End Morecambe. So if there is anyone out there who wants to give us or lend us one that would be greatly appreciated. I know it would be full as soon as we got it of people who keep saying there coming but have no transport. People just can’t wait to come to Morecambe Community Church it’s great. One lady said after the service this morning ‘this is what church is, it’s great!!!’

I just was writing to let everyone know that if they didn’t get the Visitor newspaper this week they should. There is a very interesting article in there on page 6 on Homelessness and the reporter Michelle Brookes called me a few weeks ago for my coments. She said that the man in question, Graham Simpson, just came into the Visitors office and asked her to report on homelessness. The article online at www.thevisitor.co.uk take a look!!
